Adventures of the Happy Schnauzer Klaus (Author Interview)

Adventures of the Happy Schnauzer Klaus looks like an exciting and fun children’s book. What age group are you aiming for?
3-8 Age group and Schnauzer owners.

The watercolor illustrations are beautiful, what made you pick that style of art?
I had several versions to review and Asari’s brought the characters to life and Klaus will be able to live again in the hearts of children. I miss his doggy kisses.

What will young readers get out of your book?
Be like Klaus: play at the park, chase balls and be a best friend. Also how to care for a pet, your best friend.

What inspired you when writing Adventures of the Happy Schnauzer Klaus?
I have always wanted to write a children’s book and this allowed me to keep Klaus alive in my heart.

When did you decide to become a writer?
I decided to become a writer in 2016 when I first wrote the story of my best friend, Klaus.

When writing Adventures of the Happy Schnauzer Klaus did anything stand out as particularly challenging?
My fear of writing and sentence structure.

What do you like to do when not writing?
Agility training with Rocket Riely, walking and spending time with my dogs and painting.
