This book is based on real life events and real people.
What do you think makes a great story?
I think a great story is one that will envoke a feeling and emotion when you are reading. A great story can paint a vivid image in your mind with only the use of word play.
What inspired you when writing A Hidden Past?
I was inspired to write A Hidden Past in the hopes that through telling my story, Women and Teenagers who have gone through a hard time in their life, will be inspired to overcome their battles as well.
What are your ambitions for your writing career? Full time? Part time?
I write when I feel inspired or and important message to deliver. I currently have another project in the works that I plan to release this year .
When did you decide to become a writer?
I have been writing for years, ever since I was in grade school. I would often write poetry in my spare time. However, I had never written anything like A Hidden Past before. I still feel like I am developing and growing in my career as a writer and that I have much to learn; but it is something that I find to be therapeutic.
When writing A Hidden Pastdid anything stand out as particularly challenging?
A hidden past was a very emotional story for me to write, because it was one that I personally experienced. I had to dig into my past and a dark place when writing it and discuss things that some people would find unimaginable.
How did you come up with the story of A Hidden Past?
A hidden past was based on a real story and real things that have happen in my life when I was a child. One day I received a dis-heartening phone call from my brother, who is also one of the main characters in the story, and after the conversation, I felt in my gut that this was something I had to say. So I sat down at my lap- top and poured my heart out with nothing but a keyboard , my thoughts, and blank space.
What do you like to do when not writing?
When I’m not writing, I work full-time and I enjoy spending quality time with my two little boys and the rest of my loved ones. We like to go to amusement parks, play football or go to the movies.
