Connoisseur's Guide to the Amsterdam Coffeeshops

Connoisseur's Guide to the Amsterdam Coffeeshops, looks like a fun guide to Amsterdam. Any plans for additional books in a similar genre/topic? YES! Next up is a Guide to Barcelona Cannabis Clubs, then possibly another covering all the other cities in the Netherlands.
What do you think makes a great guide? #1 NOBODY has ever done this before. The guide is based on North American standards, which are VERY DIFFERENT than the standards here.
What inspired you when writing Connoisseur's Guide to the Amsterdam Coffeeshops? In the beginning, it was just a stoney adventure. It became much more than that after I saw how HORRIBLE some of these coffeeshops were, and how little they cared about their customers. Then it became a SERVICE to pervent my Budbrothers and Budsisters from having to deal with the bad Coffeeshops - and save their precious vacay time on only Premium locations.
What are your ambitions for your writing career? Full time? Part time? I am now FULL TIME writing and recently took on a project for Cannabis Culture Magazing - covering the Spannabis 2018 Cannabis Convention in Barcelona Spain.
When did you decide to become a writer? Actually, I was a columninst for LA Entertainment and review magazing in the 80’s - but I had moved on to another career in the hospitality industry. So to answer: 30 years ago. Just slow on the uptake I guess… LOL
When writing Connoisseur's Guide to the Amsterdam Coffeeshops did anything stand out as particularly challenging? Yes, I had to change the way I went about the testing / tasting process. I tested 5 coffeeshops a day, always between 10 am and before 2. (after breakfast and before Lunch) to maximize my tasting abilities. I found that if I tasted AGAIN after 6PM, I would get different results.
How did you come up with the topics in Connoisseur's Guide to the Amsterdam Coffeeshops? I had a friend visit from out of town who asked me “What is the best coffeeshop in Amsterdam?” I had not been TO THEM ALL. Sooooooooo. I decided to try them all.
What do you like to do when not writing? I love to travel all over Europe and North America, drink excellent whisky, smoke fine cigars, and spoil my wife of almost 30 years…
