Disasters to Dreams looks like a great guide to overcoming setbacks.  Who did you write the book for?

Disasters To Dreams is for anyone that knows in their heart that there must be something more to life than what they’re getting now. Anyone that feels they have an inner greatness inside but doesn’t know how to let it out. And for anyone looking to let go of past failures and mistakes and see them for what they really are, building blocks toward your future success.

How long did it take you to write Disasters to Dreams?

I had been thinking about writing a book for a few years, but once the decision was made to start it took about one year total.

What inspired you when writing Disasters to Dreams?

My wife and I had just attended a Mike Dooley event in Reno and we got back to the hotel that night and started talking about manifesting our dreams. We somehow got on the subject of writing a book since one of Mike Dooley’s books, Infinite Possibilities, had really inspired me years earlier. I was telling her about some of the crazy things that had happened to me during my life and she said ‘you should write a book about that’.

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’m originally from the Bay Area California, then spent 10 years in Colorado snowboarding and I currently live in Las Vegas with my wife, daughter and three dogs. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset and hated working for anyone else. I believe it’s important to question everything.

What will readers get out of your book?

My hope is that I can show people that no matter how bad your disaster, there will be something great that comes from it. To realize that not getting what you want is an amazing blessing. And that if an ordinary clown like me can make it, so can you.

What motivated you to become a writer?

I wrote Disasters To Dreams because I’ve had a lot of awful shit happen to me and I wanted to let people know that just because life has kicked your ass repeatedly doesn’t mean it has to stay that way. That you are a better person for having gone through the shitstorm. And that you really can have anything you want in this lifetime.

How did you come up with the ideas in Disasters to Dreams?

The book is part self improvement, part memoir, and part business book with a splash of metaphysical thrown in for good measure. So the main storyline is based on some of the events of my life. I’ve also interviewed several other entrepreneurs so their stories are peppered throughout the book as well. There are also lot’s of reader focused self reflection exercises and sections as well. I’ve always had a fascination with why people do things and my intention with this book is to help people get out of their own way and start living the life they really want.

Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when writing Disasters to Dreams?

This is my first book so I didn’t have any idea how long it would take or how much work was involved in writing a book. My biggest challenge was probably overcoming my impatience, but I also realize that everything happens at the right time so I had to let that go.

Where can readers find out more about your work?
