What motivated you to
write the book?
I set out to improve upon my debut book, "The Firestick
Phenomenon," with the goal of completing it by the end of the last year.
With nearly a decade of experience assisting individuals in transitioning away
from cable television and towards alternative streaming options, I wanted to
share my knowledge and insights in order to help others save money and make
informed decisions about their entertainment choices.
What type of reader
did you write the book for?
The book is written for readers
who are looking to cut their cable cord and transition to alternative streaming
options. It is aimed at individuals who are interested in saving money on their
entertainment expenses and want to learn more about the different streaming
devices and services available to them. The book is likely to be of particular
interest to individuals who are tech-savvy and looking to stay up-to-date with
the latest trends in entertainment.
How long did it take
you to write No Subscription Required?
Overall about two or three
months.
How did you come up
with the title for the book?
I wanted something unique and
catchy but easily understood on the subject matter, and No Subscription
Required sounded appropriate considering the book content. I think it
clearly describes the central topic of cord-cutting and transitioning to
alternative streaming options. The title also highlights the main benefit of
this transition, which is saving money by eliminating the need for costly cable
subscriptions.
Did anything stick
out as particularly challenging when writing No Subscription Required?
One of the biggest challenges I faced was ensuring that the
content was up-to-date and relevant to the fast-paced industry of media
streaming apps and devices. The field is constantly evolving, with new services
and devices being introduced regularly. This made it difficult to keep up with
the latest developments and make sure that the information presented in the
book was accurate and relevant. I had to keep rewriting and updating sections
of the book to make sure that I was providing readers with the most current
information. It was a challenge to ensure that the content was always current
but it was important to me to provide readers with the most accurate and
relevant information.
What do you like to
do when not writing?
I enjoy learning about a variety
of subjects to keep my mind active and stimulated when I'm not writing. This
involves doing coursework online, reading books and articles, and watching a
variety of YouTube videos. I occasionally like to sneak away to the golf course
if my workload allows. I also prefer to wake up next to some palm trees with a
margarita nearby when I do manage to sneak away for longer than a golf outing,
which is even more rare.
