Can you
tell us a little about Rosie the Fluffy Puppy and the Search for a Lost
Teddy?
This
book is a sweet Tale of Kindness" is an endearing and uplifting story that
will captivate the hearts of both children and adults. It's a touching tale
that teaches the importance of compassion, kindness and empathy, all while
showcasing the unbreakable bond between a little girl and her furry best
friend. Jo and Rosie embark on their first
adventure to help a little girl in need and discover the joy of a selfless acts
of kindness. This heartwarming and beautifully illustrated book is a must-read
for anyone who believes in the power of kindness and compassion..
What motivated you to write the book?
My
motivation for writing this book stems from my personal experience as a dog
owner and animal lover, where I have always cherished the special bond between
dogs and humans. Having seen firsthand how much joy puppies bring to children,
I wanted to create a meaningful story that would help young readers understand
the significance of kindness in building strong and lasting friendships.
What age
group did you write the book for?
Age 4-8
Can you
tell us a little about Rosie?
Rosie's
beautiful, fluffy wavy coat is one of her most distinctive features. It's a
lovely light caramel color, with long, soft fur that's a pleasure to pet. Her
coat is so thick and fluffy that she looks like a little teddy bear, and people
can't resist cuddling her when they see her. It's also perfect for keeping her
warm and cozy on chilly days, making her the perfect snuggle buddy
Rosie, is
a delightful little character. She's always brimming with energy and eager to
participate in whatever is going on around her. Her cuteness can sometimes lead
her into mischief, but I know that it's important to teach her to be
well-behaved, despite her adorable looks. Rosie is also very curious and loves
to investigate every nook and cranny, especially when the mailman drops letters
and parcels through the slot. She's a bit of a barker at times and a prankster
too, often teasing other dogs by taking her bone, setting it down, and then
dashing off with it. More of the books I’m writing will Centre around these
issues!
Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when writing Rosie the Fluffy Puppy and the Search for a Lost Teddy?
Although
I found it difficult at first due to the abundance of stories I wanted to
write, I managed to overcome this by keeping the story very short for young readers.
However, I soon realized that writing a series would be a better option. As a
result, I am currently working on my second book and am close to completing it.
What do
you like to do when not writing?
I have a
deep passion for nature, wildlife and photography, particularly wildlife
photography, and find immense joy in creating images as well as physical art.
My creative flair is currently apparent when I started a project of creating miniature
worlds in a tiny walnut. I love to craft in small walnuts, using materials such
as polymer, clay, and felting to create tiny animals in their little worlds.
Moreover, I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively, and I thoroughly
relish learning about diverse cultures and observing life. I am writing other
stories based on my travels in Africa.
Where can
readers find out more about your work?
I am a
new Author but have wanted to publish my
work for many years. Previously I have told my stories to relatives, friends
children and children at summer camps.
My book is currently available on amazon.com and if you have kindle unlimited
its free until August 2023.
