Most of us as children and young adults had visions of our future lives...happily married with children living in wedded bless for a lifetime. Sound familiar? For some people, this dream has become a reality. For others, the dream happened and was short lived. The good news is that there is hope on the other side of disappointment. If you, like me, have found yourselves in this position, I cannot wait for you to read my book.

Single parenting can be one of the best accomplishments of your lifetime. As many emotions circulate in our minds that can be overwhelming, we are promised by God to have the peace, wisdom and joy that we need to continue forward. Never Alone: Single Parenting with God is filled with challenges, suggestions and many of my experiences that I believe are important to share in hopes that you embrace "singlehood." I encourage you to not waste a minute of your time with regrets or sorrow. Move forward, and don't look backwards! As I transitioned from a married mother of two daughters to a single mom, I felt ALL of the emotions...loneliness, fear, exhaustion and financial stress that some of you that read this book may be feeling or have experienced. This became my new normal for some years. I definitely was not "mother of the year" as each day was survival of the fittest.

By networking, building multiple support teams, and tons of prayers, the burdens that accompany single parenting while juggling career, extracurricular activities, schoolwork and many others on the list, were lightened. I finally have come to a place in my life where I have found balance. This has taken intention and dedication. Single parents make many sacrifices for their children on a daily basis, and this is not always easy. I hope that

I hope that Never Alone: Single Parenting with God helps to reframe the occasional burdens that you face. 'For childhood and the prime of life are fleeting' (Ecclesiastes 11:10). You don't have to waste a single minute of your time. The truth is when we as mothers and/or fathers are 'well-balanced' and less stressed, our children become the same.

As you continue on your journey of single parenting, my prayer is that you don't let a day go by without seeking God. He is
the best friend and Father and is ALWAYS ready to hear from us. I challenge you to seek to comprehend the complexity of Proverbs 19:8, as for me, it serves as a reminder of many beautiful promises wrapped into one verse. "The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper." This looks different for everyone, and it's supposed to because God has a unique path for each of us. If you are like me, you have diverted from His plan and taken your own path at times. He is always there and waiting to help us get back on track.

Don't miss a moment of building a relationship with God! I do not believe that you will regret a single minute of it and will be delighted as His mysteries are revealed. I love you all and pray for each and every one of you to be blessed.
