The Shadow Ranger looks like a great book. What can you tell us about it?

Clay Hanson never set out to be a Texas Ranger. From an early age, all he wanted to do was survive. His exciting life took him from the New York City lower east side slums to a Midwest farmhouse, Then onto an occupation as a riverboat gambler with a side hobby of bare-knuckle prizefighting. His gift of advanced memory and a sharp eye for detail propelled him forward into a skilled lawman with a special talent for difficult investigations. If his gun hand didn’t get you his mental prowess would.

Any plans to turn it into a series?

Yes, I’d like to, I love my characters. Their personalities could carry out a lot of new adventures.

Can you tell us a little about Clay Hanson?

Clay is not your usual Western hero, He leans more toward crime investigations. But he is right handy with a gun when he needs to be.

What scene did you have the most fun writing?

I think that would be the part when the boys are on the orphan train headed to St.Louis. Their comradery flows through the entire story.

What inspired the idea for the book?

I get my ideas while researching old west history, certain facts just jump out at me and I try to arrange them into a smooth, easy-to-read story.

How did you come up with the title for the book? In that period of time, all the Texas Rangers were in southwest Texas, fighting bandits and Indians. Leaving the rest of the state without their protection. That’s when the commander came up with the idea of a lawman to shadow the Rangers. Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when writing The Shadow Ranger? It is always difficult to research facts from long ago. A lot of time is spent doing just that. What do you like to do when not writing? I’m Auto and motorcycle racing I love hunting and fishing, I also do 5k races, the ones with obstacles are my favorite.

Where can readers find out more about your work? I have a profile page on Facebook under T.E. McGeorge, All four of my books are on Amazon.
