To save his dying nephew, Mitch lets a sociopathic criminal, Doc, surgically implant drugs beneath his scalp, which he will smuggle from Asia to Los Angeles in exchange for life-saving medicine. But things go horribly wrong and Detective Betts, LAPD, goes to work uncovering the crime racket. When Betts gets too close, Doc has him abducted and surgically implants a deadly device in his chest, which allows Doc to watch his every move.
