Redeemed looks like a great Christian fiction book.  What can you tell us about it?

Thank you! We live in a world where our value isn't always measured by what we can contribute. Because of this, it's easy to forget that we are all here for a purpose, even if it takes a while before we are shown what it is. Redeemed is a story about a woman that had to be reminded of just how valuable she is, and how important her contributions are to the lives of the people she loves, even if she doesn't initially realize it.

How long did it take you to write Redeemed?

A good year. I had a difficult time deciding what direction I wanted one of my characters to go in.

What inspired you when writing Redeemed?

Conversations with my husband, quiet time with God, and being completely honest with myself about my own self-esteem at times.

Can you tell us a little about Nyla Joseph?

Nyla is a good person. She's caring, and kind to everyone but herself. Because of some painful things in her past, she has essentially given up on believing that great things can happen to or for her. She has settled on believing that she just isn't special enough to make a difference in anyone's life.

What will readers get out of your book?

My hope is that readers will remember how loved and important they are to someone, and to have faith and believe that God's purpose for us is and will always be much greater than we could fathom.

Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when writing Redeemed?

Yes! I wanted to write a good story that would entertain while praising God, and encourage readers to reference scripture that might be relevant to their lives.

What do you like to do when not writing?

I have been known to go to a casino or two! Mainly though, I love spending quality time with my family playing games, watching movies or getting into long impromptu conversations about any and everything with my kids.
