The Boy With My Name looks like a powerful
personal story. Can you tell us a little
about it?
It is a personal account of my early upbringing dealing
with some traumatic things.
How long did it take you to write The Boy With My Name?
A little over a year.
That’s an amazing cover.
Can you tell us a little about it?
I wanted the cover to corelate with the first paragraph of
the book “have you ever been afraid of your own name? The very thought
conjuring up a relentless storm that won’t seem to pass, no matter how hard you
try? It’s as if I’m caught in the eye of the storm, in a rowboat without any
oars, waiting for the sun to shine evermore.” But also having a light shine
through.
What will readers get out of your book?
An insight to my life and perhaps not feel so alone. Hopefully people who need help seek help,
that is what I hope readers get out of it.
What motivated you to become a writer?
Writing has always been my “escape” writing science fiction
and fantasy was always interesting to me. This book however was the first time
I wrote something honest about myself.
Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when
writing The Boy With My Name?
The first chapter was particularly challenging to write due
to content material. Writing in general was challenging at times for me I had
no idea what I was doing or if I was even fit to write.
What do you like to do when not writing?
Hanging out with my buddies, reading and hiking. I’m a
pretty boring person ha-ha.
Where can readers find out more about your work?
At the moment this my only book, but
there will be more on my amazon page soon to come.
