Purposefully Fierce (Author Interview)

Purposefully Fierce looks like a great confidence builder.  Can you tell us a little about it?

It truly is! In the book I talk about Empowering and Restoring with Confidence and Excellence.  The entire book is building confidence encouraging readers to write daily positive affirmations. There is space in the back of the book for the reader to write their own positive affirmations.  There is also a “Decree and Declare” sections throughout the book that they can read daily. Chapter 10 is about confidence, encouraging the reader that validation is not needed from others, and ultimately strive to be the best version of themselves they can be.

What inspired you when writing Purposefully Fierce?

While writing purposefully Fierce it was truly encouraging and motivating to me. I felt God was working things out in my life and had me face the reality of a few things. I was releasing and putting things in perspective and understanding that I needed to create boundaries in my professional and personal life. I knew that this book would help many, although it addresses women, men would benefit as well. I was inspired to continue writing, and I did not stop at writing the book I went on to create the Affirmation Journal. I have workshops and focus groups that are coming soon. Designing the book cover was truly exciting, I was able to be creative and my vision to life. It was Fierce!

Can you tell us a little about your background?

I am a motivator, entrepreneur, CEO of Ena Danelle LLC, and author.  I am married and between my husband and I we have 5 children. I value my faith, family, and my purpose. From an early age, I always knew my mission was to empower and restore with confidence and excellence.  I have worked in corporate within the IT field for the past 25+ years, and who I am is reflective in my professional life as well.

I have always had a passion for writing since a very young age and love it.  I have written several poems and what I call letters of encouragement.  I had never published any of my work until now, but always knew one day I would.  I have also written programs, re-written plays and really enjoyed expressing myself through words.

What will readers get out of your book?

That they were created with confidence and excellence. Readers will also be motivated to explorer deep within who God has created and predestined them to be.  They will begin to understand who they truly are, and not what others want them to be. The readers will understand the importance of writing their visions and knowing their purpose, setting goals, and reviewing them daily. I encourage the readers to write positive affirmations (21 daily challenge in the book) and decree and declare them daily.  As God give them visions and dreams, they should write them down.  They should know that those visions may be a different purpose for another season. They will be empowered and restored with confidence and excellence.

How did you come up with the ideas in Purposefully Fierce?

In the early 2000’s I started writing a program centered around “Who Am I” and “Purpose”, however; last year I began to revisit that program. What I called “Project FIERCE” was birthed on May 26th, 2021, at 5:48am, however; the Holy Spirt gave me the name Purposefully Fierce-Taking Back Control”. It was a cool and peaceful morning, as I was sitting on my patio, God revealed it all to me. At the time, I thought I was writing another program or creating a project, but little did I know I would end up writing a book and an affirmation journal.

Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when writing Purposefully Fierce?

Once I realized the path I was going on with the book, there was a point during this journey when I felt God had gone silent.  I did not know what to write next, but I understood that it would happen in His timing.  It was hard to be still and wait, but I knew that it was essential to do so, because it wasn’t about me.

What do you like to do when not writing?

I help to empower and restore others with confidence and excellence by motivating encouraging them. I volunteer with local organizations, help others with their businesses and bring their visions to light.  I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, reading, painting and sitting on my patio enjoying nature.
