Freddy and Friends looks like an exciting children’s story. Can you tell us a little about it?
Freddy the Frog is about overcoming fears, believing in
yourself and belonging. Freddy is scared to take a chance, but through the love
and support of friends, he builds up the courage to try and learns a valuable
lesson
Any plans to turn it into a series?
Yes, I have written another 4 books that we have started
getting illustrated to release hopefully by Christmas this year!
What motivated you to become a writer?
I have always been a lover of the arts and the stories told
through music, musicals, plays, etc. but more recently, I have become an uncle
to three nephews and a niece. I wanted to pass on my love of the arts and story
to them but didn’t know how. That's when I began to write the Freddy and
Friends series, dedicated to my family. I hope they fall in love with story and
imagination the way did as a child.
What will readers get out of your book?
A simple, fun loving story with a lesson of belonging and
believing in yourself – great for early readers!
What age group is the book for?
0 – 7 years old
What do you like to do when not writing?
When I’m not writing I love to be outdoors, usually hiking
and taking landscape photos or fishing with friends. On a rainy day you’d find
me curled up on the couch watching movies with a glass of cheap wine!
