The Gem of the Gods looks like a fantastic short
fantasy book. Can you tell us a little
about Freyr?
Freyr was a man forced into working for a sorcerer bent of
world domination. He attemps to undermine the attemps without his master
knowing, however after a failthful encounter with a norse god, His life becomes
an interesting battle of wills.
Any plans to turn it into a series?
There is a potential for a second book in the series.
What inspired the idea for your book?
I love mythology and all things mythical. I am an impromptu
writer. If I start writing and it makes sense, with potential for a book, I
keep running with it. Should I not like the concept I start over. None of the
books I write are truly planned out until the writing has started.
How did you come up with the title to your book?
Freyr is searching for the gem that the gods created, which
all of the battles and plot is based on this gem
What part of the book was the most fun to write?
The beginning I loved doing research when I thought of
something to add to the book. Everything that is mentioned, such as landmarks
for example, are real world locations. Obviously there are a few places that
are just mythological.
What do you like to do when not writing?
I spend all of my free time with my son and working on
getting my nonprofit foundation off the ground. This nonprofit focus on children
diagnosed with Cabezas Syndrome, a mutation or deletion of the CUL4b gene, and
the families of these children.
Where can readers find out more about your work?
Unfortunately, just by reading the book, I do not have much
out there yet. I work for NYC so I stayed away from social media and sites like
those due to the social media policy.
