Can you tell us a little about My Big-GOD’s Masterpiece?

Well the book is a 3 in 1 book containing My story of struggling with low-self-esteem (practically allmy life) 2 part is a commentary on Pressure to be beautiful and 3rd part consists of about 20-24 poems on beauty/and fear.

What motivated you to write the book?

Well the thought came as I was talking to a branding coach for a marketing business I wanted to start. Shortly afterward God gave me confirmation through listening to a minister on a radio show.

What type of reader did you write the book for?

I wrote the book for young school girl and ladies struggling with low-self-esteem and needing to find self-worth or need self-esteem boost. Ladies who need a stronger appreciation for the person they naturally are and who wants to feel just as good as the other person they look up to.

How long did it take you to write My Big-GOD’s Masterpiece?

It took about 2 months to write the book including cover design and some editing and formatting services.

How did you come up with the title for the book?

The original title was “A new me dawning,” but I was advised by the editor to come up with something more fitting with the content of my story and with the Name GOD in it. So, thankfully it really didn’t take that long for the new title, “My BIG-GOD’s Masterpiece” to come to mind.

Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when writing My Big-GOD’s Masterpiece?

Yes, I wanted to try to be a little discreet as to who one of the persons were who emotionally hurt me, but I couldn’t as someone told me they knew I was holding out information and my readers would be able to sense the same. SO I was advised to be a bit more explicit. But I wrote a disclaimer and I just want people to know that I love my family and they love me too --all is forgiven.

What do you like to do when not writing?

I love watching HGTV and food network channels, researching various world events, and trying to think of innovative ways to make money (I sometimes aspire to become an inventor). So, I just would like to create opportunities for myself because it’s been challenging already with trying to write more books and not have funds produce and market it consistently enough. So writing may be on hold for a while.

What notable accomplishments have you received since writing your book?

So I published my book in March of 2022, I entered the HOPE PYXGlobal International Book Competition a few weeks later. About two months later, after entering my book, I got an email stating that I was a finalist in the competition (imagine the pleasant surprise/shock). Finally, a few weeks later, I got an email delivering the ecstatic news that I had won in my category of self-help.

Where can readers find out more about your work?

Well I don’t have an active website anymore at the moment but hopefully very soon I should have the website running again. However, my Instagram handle is Instagram.com/parts2whole. But readers stay tuned to my Instagram. I hope to release a poetry book this year.
