It Is Finished (Author Interview)

It Is Finished looks like a great book.  What can you tell us about it?

Thank God that, despite our sins, He sent His Son to die for us and declare us Righteous in Him - Not By works of the Law, but by God's Righteousness through Faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who came to be the perfect Son of Man and the perfect sacrifice for the Sin of the entire human race.

Others argue that His final words on the cross do not sound like a triumphant shout, but when He foresaw His own death, He declared in John 27, "It was for this exact reason I саmе to this hour." "IT IS FINISHED" was a Clear Victory Cry for Jesus. A way of indicating that he has completed His mission and fulfilled His goal. Which was to be a Ransom and remove from us our sins, Give us Salvation through Believing in him, and to bring us back to God (1 Peter 1: 20-24 NLT, John 5:24 NLT, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 AMP, Revelation 3:5 AMP).

SO NOW “IT IS FINISHED” ALL YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS (1 John 1: 7 AMP).

Any plans to turn it into a series?

Not at this particular moment. However, we never know.

Can you tell us a little about the word tetelestai?

Jesus' last words on the cross, written in Greek as Tetelestai, mean "It is Done" in English. Tetelestai comes from the Greek verb teleo, which means "to finish" or "to reach a goal." The word's significance lies in the fact that it marks the conclusion of a process or occurrence. Meaning CHRIST has FINISHED what GOD SENT HIM HERE TO DO!!

Jesus' death on the cross and subsequent resurrection proved successful in achieving this Mission. God's Whole Plan and Purpose. How did he accomplish the task that God put before him on earth? By obliterating Satan's efforts, of course. Sin, which Satan introduced, is what ultimately drove mankind away from God. But now, thanks to Christ, God no longer counts our sins against us, and the separation from God that they use to caused is no longer an issue (2 Corinthians 5: 18-19 Amp).

What scene or section did you have the most fun writing?

If sin is our problem, then what gives sin its power?, it asks in Chapter 2. I'm explaining that the law is the source of Sin's strength. Yet, since the Law is Good and Spiritual, how can it empower Sin? Hence, I explicate the analogy and contrast between the law and its relationship to Sin in order to clarify their meaning. Which made it a personal mission of mine to explain how they cohabit. The fun part was the revelation of how God united the two.

What inspired the idea for the book?

I was set free from sin when God delivered me into the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God via Christ. I returned to school and obtained a Master of Divinity (The Study of Religion). Hence, the book "It Is Finished" was born. Despite several failures stemming from misinterpretations of the Bible, which prevented me from having a genuine relationship with God. Christ and his RIGHTEOUSNESS are the genuine spiritual keys to a divine relationship that fosters a Personal and Spiritual Connection with God. I was inspired to write this book by my newly found personal relationship with God.

How did you come up with the title for the book?

God inspired the title when I realized I did not have to work for my Salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9 amp). Also, when God revealed to me the moment, I first believed in him as Lord and Savior, I received Salvation from God at that precise moment. I observed that everything necessary for my Salvation had been accomplished through Christ. I discovered that I would never be condemned for any of my misdeeds, which includes my sins, when I believe in Christ (John 5:24 NLT). So, it led me to the title "It Is Finished," as Christ has completed everything for me.

Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when writing It Is Finished?

When God was revealing so much to me at once, it was difficult to make sense of it all, and I still struggle to fit all God keeps showing me into coherent patterns. I'm  Invariably learning new information all the time.

What do you like to do when not writing?

Playing Chess is a very relaxing game, that and lifting weights. My most fun is talking to others about Jesus Christ.
