Any plans to turn it into a series?

Yes, I have already written the prequel to this book which is written from the POV of George Davis. “ Under the Homerun Sky,” I will release that after Labor Day.

What do you hope readers will get out of reading your book?

"I hope that readers will come away from 'THE SANDLOT LEGACY—Chronicles of Youth and Baseball' with a renewed sense of belief in the power of dreams and the transformative impact of determination and resilience. My intention is to inspire readers to recognize the importance of mentorship and the profound effect a simple act of faith and encouragement can have on an individual's life.

I want readers to reflect on their own life journeys, embracing both the challenges and the joys they've encountered. By delving into the virtues of kindness, patience, and honesty, I aim to encourage readers to value these traits in themselves and others, understanding the lasting impact even small gestures can have.

More than anything, I want this book to serve as a reminder of the beauty of life's journey. While goals and destinations are essential, the relationships we form, the obstacles we overcome, and the memories we create along the way are equally, if not more, valuable. Whether readers are passionate about baseball or not, I hope they will see the universal themes within the narrative and be inspired to dream big, persevere in the face of adversity, and cherish every moment.

Ultimately, I want 'THE SANDLOT LEGACY' to resonate with the dreamer in everyone, reminding them that their aspirations have the potential to evolve into legacies that might inspire generations to come."

How did you come up with the title for the book?

I grew up on a sandlot. The back story to this book is my childhood and the wonderment of dreaming of becoming a Big Leaguer

How long did it take you to write The Sandlot Legacy?

4 months

What inspired the idea for the book?

"The inspiration for 'THE SANDLOT LEGACY—Chronicles of Youth and Baseball' stemmed from my personal experiences and love for the game of baseball. As a child, the sandlot was more than just a patch of dirt; it was a realm where dreams took flight, friendships were forged, and life lessons were learned. Baseball, with its pace, strategy, and unpredictability, seemed like a fitting metaphor for life itself.

The character of Jack Thompson is an amalgamation of many young dreamers I've encountered, who, despite facing skepticism and challenges, held onto their aspirations with unyielding tenacity. The relationship between Jack and Mr. Davis was inspired by mentors in my own life who believed in me when I doubted myself, guiding me with their wisdom and kindness.

Furthermore, in today's fast-paced world, I felt a yearning to revisit the simplicity and enchantment of childhood. There's an innocence in that time, a purity of dreams and friendships, which I wanted to capture in this story. The narrative also became a platform for me to explore and celebrate the virtues that I believe are integral to a fulfilling life—kindness, patience, and honesty.

Ultimately, 'THE SANDLOT LEGACY' is a tribute to every individual who has dared to dream, every mentor who has touched a life, and the timeless allure of baseball—a game that, much like life, is as much about the journey as it is about the outcome."
