Buried Treasure (Author Interview)

Buried Treasure looks like a fantastic self-help book.  Can you tell us a little about it? Buried Treasure was written to allow people to face the hurt or pain caused by molestation, a divorce, or the death of a family member close to them. This book shows you how you can use that pain to push you into purpose. It was meant to break you, but God used it to break you gracefully

Any plans to turn it into a series?

Yes, I have two more books on the way.

How long did it take you to write Buried Treasure?

I started last year in 2021. I got stuck and pushed it to the side. Once I moved to Florida I started over and I completed it in two days.

That’s an amazing cover.  Can you tell us a little about it?

Yes, the cover was simple I just thought about at the bottom of the stairway it is dark, that’s your pain it takes you to a dark place but with each step you take up the stairs it gets brighter and easier for you to walk into purpose

What inspired you when writing Buried Treasure?

It was going through my divorce process of facing what was meant to break me, I like to say God gracefully broke me enough to run into his arms

What will readers get out of your book?

Readers will get to look at themselves as not a victim anymore but a victor

When did you decide to become a writer?

To be honest I was always good at writing in school but I never thought about being a writer

Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when writing Buried Treasure?

When I first tried writing the book I got stuck trying to talk about my mother, but I noticed I didn’t know anything about her. Then once I moved I started over and the whole book changed.

What do you like to do when not writing?

Well, I am a single mother, I work from home so I am either working, cooking dinner on break, doing credit consulting or resting

Where can readers find out more about your work?

Buried Treasures is soil at BN, KDP Amazon, Kobo, Walmart, Okadabooks, and Ingram Spark
