Scotties Ten Bubble Yawns looks like a great bedtime story.  Can you tell us a little about it?

Tag along with Scottie as he recounts 10 bubbles that were part of his day. But what does Scottie do when he wants to taste a bubble and his attempts turn into bubble yawns? 🥱

Picturing peaceful bubbles & a soft pup make it easier to fall asleep until it's time to get up. Feeling safe & comfortable is an important part of a sleeping schedule & Scottie is the cuddly, cute pup ready to make bedtime routines easier & enjoyable😴

Any plans to turn it into a series?

Scottie Toddler-Preschool Books is a Toddler Learning series

Book #5 ~ introduction Scottie’s baby sister - out soon!

How were the illustrations done in Scotties Ten Bubble Yawns?

It is high priority to give both children and parents beautiful illustrations meant to capture a child’s imagination, so reading last long beyond the page.

What inspired you when writing Scotties Ten Bubble Yawns?

Child literacy and sharing the joy of reading are at the heart of what I do. I learned long ago that even our youngest readers crave wonder and resolution ~ so I wrote it 💛

What will readers get out of your book?

I had my 1st Barnes & Noble Author Signing recently and had a blast introducing Scottie’s Ten Bubble Yawns to so many people and children. One of the takeaways that readers, young and older alike, seem to get from Scottie was how relatable this cuddly, cute pup is and how he will undeniably be a very useful tuck-in-time routine.

How did you come up with the story and ideas in Scotties Ten Bubble Yawns?

I am often approached by parents and caregivers with questions regarding how to teach a child their numbers, how to get a child to go to bed on time or to potty, etc. Kids are my heart, so I developed my Scottie series as an answer to combine themes both parents and pre-schoolers can benefit and delight from. I want young readers to walk away from my books delighted ~ I want children to want to read again and again.

Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when writing Scotties Ten Bubble Yawns?

Thoughtful illustrations are incredibly important and to capture the calm brilliance our kiddos deserve - it is a lengthy process to pair rich text with illustrations that continue to spark interest.

What do you like to do when not writing?

I am a Foodie! Yes - I am one of those people who takes pictures of food.  I love recipes, baking, cooking, eating and celebrating family and friends with great food.
